Follow The Signal.
Find The Leak.
Five purpose-built detectors and one 5% Hydrogen / 95% Nitrogen tracer gas that rises straight to the surface — sensitive enough to find leaks other methods miss, without excavation.
Precise, Rapid, Reliable & Versatile
Precise Leak Location
5% H₂ / 95% N₂ rises straight up through dirt, asphalt, and concrete to be read at ground level.
- Confirms leaks acoustic methods miss
- 92% correct-location rate reported by customers
Pinpoint Accuracy
Targeted repairs, not guesswork — know exactly where to dig or open the system before you start.
- No unnecessary excavation
- Faster, more confident repairs
Safe & Non-Invasive
Non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-combustible in tracer form, and safe for drinking-water piping.
- No damage to pipes or systems
- Readily available gas supply
Built To Be Versatile
One tracer gas, five detector formats, covering underground, automotive, HVAC, and refrigeration work.
- Detection to 0.25 oz/yr refrigerant
- EPA-compliance ready
Five Detectors.
One Job — Find It Fast.
Every unit shares the same core sensing method and a graduated display with rising alert tone as you close in. Pick the format that matches the job.
Reading the gauge: most H2Leak detectors carry a 3-level onboard sensitivity dial — shown below as our sensitivity gauge — so you can coarse-scan, then fine-tune right down to the leak.
Hydro-Lok™
Compact underground detector with a field-replaceable flex hose and hydrogen sensor. Cone and pinpoint tips read straight through soil, asphalt, and concrete.
Handheld Hydrogen
Our most sensitive handheld — reads 1 to 1000 ppm H₂ with a graduated display and rising alert tone as you close in on the leak.
Original Handheld
Our original hydrogen sniffer — the same high-sensitivity core, in a streamlined package for HVAC, automotive, and general-purpose work.
Hydrogen & Refrigerant
Two detectors in one unit — switch between refrigerant-gas and H₂/N₂ tracer detection depending on what’s already charged in the system.
Helium & Multi-Gas
Thermal-conductivity detection across helium, hydrogen, argon, CO₂, SF₆, methane, and refrigerant gases — built for labs and specialized industrial work.

Same tracer gas, five very different jobsites — from underground pipe to supermarket refrigeration racks.
Underground
Water, gas, and pool-piping leaks located without digging first — tracer gas moves straight up to ground level.

Built To Put This
Tech In Every Truck
Greg Vaughan started working with hydrogen leak detectors in 2007, after a decade selling helium units to HVAC and refrigeration manufacturers. Those same manufacturers also sold hydrogen detectors for the underground water market — but built for industrial buyers, out of easy reach for most plumbers and leak-detection crews.
Greg knew that same sensitivity could be made far more accessible. He redesigned the detector to bring it within reach of everyday leak-detection trucks and crews, without giving up accuracy.
Our goal is simple: put this technology within reach of every leak-detection truck, plumbing crew, and municipal water department that needs it.

A plastic pipeline, 5 ft underground, only 6 PSIG to work with — acoustic methods weren’t going to find this one. A few hours of low-pressure tracer gas with the Hydro-Lok narrowed the leak to within a 6 ft radius. The team even shipped high-pressure hoses and fittings so we could start right away.
Production Engineer, Evonik Industries AG
Twenty years of leak detection with acoustic and pipe-locating equipment, and the Hydro-Lok still finds leaks those methods can’t. It’s been standard equipment on the truck for three years now, and it’s saved plenty of jobs where other companies charged for a location they never found.
